So here's the gist: I was born and raised in the hills of Tennessee, climbing trees, swimming in creeks, and seeing how many scars I could get along the way (the count is currently at 5). I was lucky enough to have parents who both loved to travel and experience new things along the way. At a young age I was able to visit Canada, Mexico, and take a family road-trip to Montana and back that nearly drove us all crazy. I guess I can blame my parents for my constant itch for adventure - that has now driven me to create this blog and share my passion with all of you lovely internet dwellers.

My husband and I are currently located in Georgia, with our two dogs who are also quite the adventurers. The bottom line is that we are just normal people. We work normal jobs, have great friends and are doing our best to make the most out of life. I would love to say that I sold everything and am currently living a nomadic life abroad - but alas - that simply isn't true. I also lust after all of those Instagram accounts that show people traveling to exotic places without a care in the world, but the fact of the matter is that I actually love my life - I just want to incorporate more adventures wherever I can.

So this blog is for us! The average Joe's & Jolene's of the world who don't have an endless budget or limitless time. My hope is that this blog will help us all realize that you can find adventure wherever you are in life. Whether it's a weekend getaway, a trip abroad, or just finding great local spots near you - adventure is out there, so let's go find it together!
